It all went well — my previous comments pretty much explain the story.
The few negative comments I have (which I reported to them) are that a basement window was left open (it’s wintertime!) and a couple of interior doors that had been removed from their hinges were not re-installed. They offered to come back and install them at a later date.
The best test for the quality of the company and the work is yet to be determined – after a heavy rain. Stay tuned on this.
Description of work:
The full, unfinished basement of this 60-year old house had a problem with water after heavy rains. Nothing could be left on the floor in certain areas due to the possibility of water seeping up or leaking from the cinderblock walls. We ran a dehumidifier in the basement constantly, which is standard procedure in New Jersey.
Derek, the sales rep for Select Basement Waterproofing, arrived on time to determine the extent of the work needed, take measurements, and provide me with an estimate. He explained the scope of the work to me, and the contract, and answered all of my questions carefully and courteously. He is knowledgeable, a good listener, and is well spoken. I signed the contract and gave him a deposit.
